Hire Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you hire chairs or tables from borrowedseats. By submitting a hire agreement on our website, you confirm you accept these terms.

1. Quotes & booking

• Online quotes are estimates based on the information you provide. Final confirmation is subject to availability.
• A booking is confirmed once we accept your hire agreement and receive the required payment (hire processing amount and refundable damage deposit as quoted).
• Delivery and collection (where applicable) may be quoted separately and invoiced after booking confirmation.

2. Payment

• Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
• The pay-now amount shown on your quote typically includes hire processing (including card fees), plus a refundable damage deposit.
• Delivery charges, if any, are invoiced separately before your event unless stated otherwise.

3. Damage deposit

The damage deposit is refundable after items are returned in acceptable condition, subject to any fair deductions for loss, damage, or excessive cleaning. Deposits are tiered by quantity and product type as shown in your quote.

4. Delivery, pick-up & collection

• We deliver nationwide — fees depend on postcode and job details.
• Free pick-up and return is available at our SE18 depot by prior arrangement.
• You must provide accurate venue access information. Additional charges may apply if access differs materially from what was agreed.
• Someone authorised must be present for delivery and collection unless agreed otherwise.

5. Hirer responsibilities

• Use items only for their intended purpose; do not modify or repair hire stock.
• Protect items from weather, theft, and misuse while in your care.
• Return items in the same condition as delivered, allowing fair wear.
• Notify us immediately of any damage, loss, or incident.

6. Cancellation

Cancellation terms are as stated in your quote summary and hire agreement. Late cancellations close to your event date may forfeit part or all of your deposit. Contact us as early as possible if plans change.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law. Our liability for hire items is limited to the hire charges for the affected booking, except where caused by our negligence.
